Grave Encounters

I wanted to go and see this film but watching the trailer made me change my mind a little mainly because i thought the ending of the trailer ruined the whole thing. I think this because it looks really fake and every time you see someone standing with their back faced towards you in a horror film you expect them to turn around with a hideous looking face, so basically it didn't scare me either. I read through some of the comments posted by the public about what they thought of it and to no surprise many of the comments made were negative and were about the ending of the trailer. This shows that a lot of people think the same  way about the ending. Other than that i thought the rest of the trailer is quite good and builds up tension, it also makes you want to go and see it. I'm guessing that this film will get a lot of views because a high number of the public like to see paranormal stuff going on. For example a huge amount of people went to watch Paranormal Activity 1 and 2, me being one of them. I guess paranormal films manage to grab a lot of peoples attention.

Just Go With It

I went to the cinema with a few friends not knowing what we were going to watch. They had already bought me my ticket before i got there so i was hoping it wouldn't be something i won't like, but luckily it was a good film.


Its called 'Just Go With It' and it is a Comedy/Romance film. The film is basically about a plastic surgeon who convinces his assistant to pretend to be his soon to be divorced wife in order to cover up a lie he told his much younger girlfriend on a weekend trip to Hawaii. Personally, i found it quite funny and entertaining. The endings the cutest part. I don't know whether or not to give the ending away but i'm going to anyway. At the end the surgeon and his assistant confess that they love each other and live happily ever after, as they do.

Shocks me everytime

How big can a dress get? I mean the sizes, shapes and styles amaze me. How can you possibly do anything in that. Another thing to look out for are the dresses at the end even though their not really dresses... more like bits of cloth! The DANCING! I have no words.

The Rite

I went to see The Rite on Thursday 3rd March with my media class at the cinema. It was basically about an American seminary student who traveled to Italy to take an exorcism course. I was excited about seeing this film but to be honest it wasn't really what i was expecting. It didn't meet up to my expectations. I thought it would have been scarier than it was and i would have enjoyed it a little more if it did scare me. It didn't frighten me at all, but i guess i was one of the very few who wasn't scared. It managed to scare many of the students in my class. Although the film didn't scare me i found it quite interesting mainly because i believe that things like this happen. I'm not sure about whether of not this is based on a true story but i done some research and found many websites that said the film is inspired by true events. You can see this in the beginning of the synopsis of the film which you will see below.

Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son (2011)

'FBI agent Malcolm Turner and his stepson Trent go undercover at an all-girls performing arts school after Trent witnesses a murder'.

I saw the trailer to this on TV a few times and found it quite funny so i thought it would be a worthwhile trip to the cinema. I went to see it last week Saturday on the 19th. To be honest it wasn't quite what i expected it to be. I preferred the first one better. Although it did make me laugh a little it wasn't as funny as the first two.

By the way i didn't go to see this out of choice, i had to look for a reasonable film to go and watch because of my 10 year old cousin.

The butterfly effect on E4 wednesday 16th february

I just watched the butterfly effect and decided to blog about it straight away whilst all my thoughts are fresh in my mind. Although its a little confusing and takes a bit of time to get into if you concentrate and keep up with what's going on its actually a really good film. It sure makes you think a lot and raises many questions. One question I kept asking myself was is this a dream or is it real? This is because the film jumps to different times and situations which is why it may be difficult for people to keep up with. The film mainly uses flashbacks often throughout the whole thing.

Its about a boy named Evan Treborn who grows up in a small town with his single, working mother and his friends. Evan suffers from memory blackouts where he suddenly finds himself somewhere else, confused. Everytime Evan finds himself somewhere else its always in a different confusing situation. His friends and mother hardly believe him, thinking he makes it up just to get out of trouble. As Evan grows up he has less of these blackouts until he seems to have recovered. Since the age of seven he has written a diary of his blackout moments so he can remember what happens. One day at college he starts to read one of his old diaries, and suddenly a flashback hits him like a brick!

I actually got a headache watching this and trying to understand what exactly was going on only because it made me think a lot. I do think its a great film to watch though. The way its all been put together is clever. Some scenes are really emotional and sad I nearly cried a few times but I managed to hold back the tears so now my throat hurts a little!

Very Disturbing!

I can't get over any of the Saw movies i personally think they should be banned because i don't understand how anyone can come up with so many different ideas of torture. These movies aren't even scary their just really gruesome and can put ideas into sick peoples minds.
